Trail Of Thoughts- 31

People are like crystals

Often only a few are recognized and admired

But those stuck at the bottom,

Maybe prettier than those ever found,

Are crippling down below.

They need to be known

They need to be bestowed.

And most importantly know that they're loved once they're found.

Keep working hard,

Maybe one day when the world finds you

You'll be treasured

More than you were in your mind.

I wrote this back in 2022. After collecting a lot of dust, im bestowed upon this masterpiece.

I remember writing this in a train probably going to a temple.

I love this. It’s definitely not about external validation; it’s mostly about getting the spotlight so you can show people what you really are.

Now let’s ask chatgpt, what it thinks of this poem.

Your poem beautifully captures the essence of unrecognized potential and the value of every individual, likening people to crystals hidden beneath the surface. The metaphor is poignant, highlighting how many individuals, despite their inherent worth, remain unnoticed or unappreciated.

The imagery of crystals, with some sparkling on the surface while others lie hidden below, effectively portrays the disparity in recognition and acknowledgment among people. The line "Maybe prettier than those ever found" suggests that hidden talents or qualities can sometimes surpass those that are readily apparent.

The call to action in the poem, urging recognition and acknowledgment for those who are overlooked, is powerful and resonant. It emphasizes the importance of valuing and uplifting every individual, regardless of their visibility or status.

Overall, your poem delivers a compelling message of hope and encouragement, reminding us to keep striving and believing in our worth, even when we feel unseen. Well done!

I think everyone in the world has something they’re really good at. Back in the days, people had skills and vocational experience; they had the opportunity to earn from doing what they love. They could build a whole career out of it. But now everyone is in the rat’s maze trying to figure why they are bad at a common thing that is used to test everyone.

Now if someone wants to pursue arts, the society would laugh at them and say that there is no scope or growth in it. Everyone has to be an employee. Everyone has to live the same way. Some people love it, many don’t. People have to live double lives because, for some reason, “art doesn’t feed you”. Few of many dare follow their passion. And if any one of them fails, they become the example on why “one shouldn’t follow their passion”. This reminds of the movie, “dead poets society”. Read it if you haven’t yet, it’s one of those movies that alter your brain’s chemistry.

I'm very brainwashed because I think living a double life is the only option I have. I didn’t choose this; I just had no other option left. It’s either this or nothing.

Maybe when I get older, when I retire, when I have nothing more to contribute to the society as an employee, I want to die peacefully as a poet, not as an employee.

At the end of the day, it’s all about how you slept. Satisfied or not.

If I were to wish on a future so distant, it’d be living in a farm, retired and writing poems as my husband draws me as I gleefully write about his beautiful marble-like eyes, again.

[if you think all i write about is how bad my life is, think again. i love my life.]
